RULES AND CONDITIONS

By sending an entry, you agree to these rules.​

 

The contest starts on January 21, 2026. You may submit your entry from January 21 tο February 4, 2026.

Entries received after February 4, 2026 will not be accepted. The judging period runs from February 4 to 18, 2026. Winners will be announced on February 18, 2026.

This contest is for non-native English speakers who are 18 years old or older. Staff and immediate family members of Driscoll language Guild cannot enter. Each person may submit one essay and one video.

 

Essay entries must answer this question: "What is your favorite creative activity for learning english?"

Essays must be 500 to 800 words and written in English.​

 

Video entries must answer this question: "Tell us about a time when a language barrier became a problem at work." videos must be 60 to 90 seconds long and spoken in English. Subtitles are optional.​

 

All entries must be sent by email το ceo@driscolllanguageguild.com. Use the subject line "Contest Entry." Essays must be sent as a PDF or Word file. Video entries must be attached or shared using a private download link.​

 

Each contest has three winners. First place wins PHP 3,000 paid via Paypal. Second place wins a free four-hour language lesson pack. Third place receives an honorable mention and public showcase on Driscoll Language Guild platforms. Prizes are not transferable.​

 

All judging decisions are final. Judges will use the following criteria: (1) Creativity (2) Style (3) Content (4) Presentation.

By entering, you allow Driscoll Language Guild to share your essay or video publicly for learning or promotion. Only your first name will be shown unless you ask us not to. Entries that do not follow these rules or arrive after the deadline may be disqualified. Questions must be ceo@driscolllanguageguild.com before February 4, 2026.
